Have a question? Whether you have just scheduled your first appointment,
have never used our service before or are an old friend, the following information may
ease your mind. If your question is not addressed below, please do not hesitate to
call your local branch office. We want you to feel prepared and informed when you go
on an assignment.
When should I call your office to say that I'm available for work?
If you finish an assignment, call us as soon as possible. We want to find you another assignment fast, and we also want to hear about your experience on-the-job.
If not currently on assignment, we would like to hear from you every week (Monday is best!) so we stay updated on your availability. Communication is key in helping us find you a great job!
When do I get paid?
Employees are paid weekly. Please note, it is your responsibility to complete your time sheet fully and accurately, then submit to our office either by mail or in person. The pay period begins Sunday and ends Saturday.
Little omissions can cause delays in pay, so be sure to include your name, social security number, current job order number, your signature, your supervisor's signature, and total your regular and any overtime hours.
What do I do if I am ill on the day of an assignment?
If for any reason you will not be able to report to your assignment or will be unavoidably late, call Certified before your starting time so that we can inform the client. You may call before or after regular office hours and leave a message on our 24-hour answering machine. Of course, the earlier we are notified of an absence the better for you, for us, and for our clients!
What should I say if an employer asks me to travel?
If you are asked to perform a significant duty that was not described to you before accepting the assignment, please call your local branch immediately. ((Examples: operating machinery (other than office equipment), working at a site other than the originally assigned location, or driving a car or truck.)) Of course, if any duty you are asked to perform makes you uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to call a Staffing Specialist to discuss the issue. We want our employees in a safe working environment at all times!
What is the procedure if I am injured on the job?
Notify your On-site Supervisor, then call your Certified representative immediately. We will direct you to a medical clinic if treatment is necessary. Notifying us helps insure that you receive lost wages, if you are eligible. Our office will follow up with the clinic to monitor your treatment, and we will put you back to modified work or full work as soon as possible.
As a Certified employee, you are covered by our workers' compensation insurance. Reporting your injury to Certified immediately is the key to timely treatment, and payment of any benefits to which you may be entitled.
